Goals and Objectives

  • Provide and promote safe and equitable athletic participation
  • Encourage participation in athletic programs
  • Promote sportsmanlike conduct
  • Maintain the standards of eligibility of the NYSPHSAA and State Education Department
  • Provide the means to settle disputed athletic contests amicably and authoritatively
  • Conduct athletic tournaments and contests
  • Work with the NYSPHSAA and State Education Department in fostering educationally sound athletic programs
  • Adapt rules to cover sports contests and to support the rule changes creating safer environments for all student-athletes
  • Coordinate and work with officials' organizations

Mission Statement

It shall be the purpose of this Association to formulate, adopt, and implement policies that will enable to Association to administer and govern interscholastic athletics in Suffolk County in accordance with the New York State Education Department and the New York State Public High School Athletic Association.
